The 2022 wedding season doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. This means a non-stop feed, showcasing weddings full of amazing inspiration and ideas from couples around the world.
We’ve curated a list of some of the flower trends to watch in 2022, and we’re tipping Melbourne brides will be embracing them with open arms.
Bright & Bold
Although pastels will always have our heart, there’s a new trend in town that has really caught our eye. Bright, colourful and bold florals are taking centre stage in weddings and we’re here for it. Monochromatic, contrasting or complementary colours - take your pick as long as they’re daring, fun and eye-catching.

Feature Ceremony Backdrops
You know those amazing ceremony pictures all over Pinterest and Instgram that you just can’t stop looking at? Chances are it’s because they have a show stopping ceremony backdrop that just won’t let you look away.
Arbours, pillars, plinths, grounded floral nests and more. The option for a feature piece are absolutely endless!
These items really create that WOW factor for you and your guests. The icing on the cake? If they’re done right you can repurpose these elements at your reception as well! If that’s not some serious bang for your buck I don’t know what is.
Rich Texture
Although we still love to create installations and bouquets made from a single flower en masse, we also love the texture and gradient using different kinds of foliage and florals can create.
Fresh, dried, rough, smooth, colour, pattern and feel all contribute to create luscious and rich floral installations that take centre stage in any room. You know you’ve nailed this trend when you’re first urge is to reach out and touch it!
Natural, Wild and Free
Ever dreamt about running through a field of wildflowers? Well, now you can get married in one too! Wild and whimsical flower meadows are a huge trend for wedding ceremony flowers this year.
Florists are creating beautiful table arrangements, ceremony backdrops and hanging installations that channel the feeling of a meadow. Think organic shapes, texture, dried elements, a mixture of focal and filler flowers.
