Wedding Ceremony Features

If you’ve been to a few weddings lately, you’ll probably have seen just how many options there are when it comes to ceremony features. Each one is just as different and beautiful as the last.

We’ve collated a list of the different types of ceremony features you’ll often find at weddings, to help you along your planning journey.

Arbours & Shapes

A popular choice for couples is to use an Arbour (or shape) as a ceremony backdrop. The possibilities are endless when it comes to execution for these.

  • Arrangements of fresh or dried flowers

  • Material draping around the shape to create a soft and luscious feel

  • Candles clustered around the base of the shape in a dimly lit room

  • We’ve even seen a hanging neon sign before

Flower Towers

Flowers Towers are certainly having a moment in 2022 and we can see why. A lush and extravagant ceremony feature, they set the tone for your entire event.

For those of you looking to optimise your budget, Flower Towers can be relocated to your reception. Perhaps standing behind your bridal table or even framing the cake table. If this is something you’re interested in make sure you flag it with your florist so they can advise on what’s possible for your wedding.

Floral Nest

The Floral Nest is an up and coming trend in ceremony features. Think of a garden meadow, growing straight up from the ground to surround you as you and your partner say “I do”.

These amazing features can showcase any type of flower to suit any type of theme for your wedding. Much like the previous Flower Pillars, the Floral Nest could be relocated to run along the front of the bridal table during your reception, (but check with your florist to see what’s possible).

Plinths

Using Plinths as your ceremony feature offer a wide range of possibilities. Whether you’re after something a little more traditional or want to put a modern twist on your wedding, these pillars can often be one of the more cost-effective ceremony feature options for those couples that still want to make an impact.

Plinths will always have a special place in our hearts.
